Elite Specialty Camp

 Description: This camp is designed to help the elite player take their game to the next level.  Through a system of organized instruction, players will receive position-specific training that includes high repetitions and a review of the fundamental skills of volleyball.  Sessions will be fast paced and players will be grouped together according to skill level. 

Elite Specialty Camps Grades: 9-12 Dates: July 12-14th   Commuter Camper Cost: $225 Resitential Camper Cost: $275

Residential price includes: 7 meals and 2 nights lodging (linens included)

Schedule:
Check-In Begins: Monday at 8:15 am
Monday Training: 9 – 12 pm, 1:30 – 4, 6 – 8 pm
Tuesday Training: 9 – 12 pm, 1:30 – 4, 6 – 8 pm
*Wednesday Tournament: 9-12 pm, 1:30-4:30 pm, parents are welcome to attend

General Information:
•    Every camper will receive a free t-shirt
•    1:10 ratio of coach to camper for skills camps
•    6 full-sized air-conditioned, indoor courts
•    Lunch may be ordered in or purchased at the Augie Commons


Hitter Training: Instruction will focus on all aspects of attacking including: footwork, armswing, shots, transition, and hitting different areas along the net.  Sessions will include blocking and footwork.     

Setter Training: Instruction will focus on all aspects of setting including basic footwork, technique, consistency, setting different tempos, jump setting, attacking and deception sets, and emergency skills.

Libero Training: Instruction will focus on basic ball handling skills such as passing and setting as well as emergency defensive skills such as the extension, sprawl, roll, and overhead digging.
