The 2011 season marks Ashley Buckley’s fourth as Augustana’s head volleyball coach.
A recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Thirty Under 30 Award in 2010, Buckley has compiled a career record of 51-44 with the Vikings.
Buckley’s 2010 squad posted a 14-15 record and a seventh-place finish (10-10) in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference following a 14-18 and 9-11 campaign in 2009. In 2008, her first season as head coach and Augustana’s inaugural year in the NSIC, Buckley’s Vikings had an overall record of 23-11 and 15-5 in conference play. Augustana qualified for its sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and the 12th in the last 13 years.
Augustana libero Grace Sanders was an honorable mention choice on the 2010 All-NSIC team, while setter Dani Haley was selected to the Middle of Everywhere Classic all-tournament team.

Before being named Augustana’s eighth head volleyball coach, Buckley spent the 2007 season as Kim Sudbeck's top assistant. Buckley joined the Viking coaching staff prior to the 2007 season after spending the 2006 campaign as an assistant coach at the University of Sioux Falls.
A Sioux Falls native, Buckley, the former Ashley Pederson, was a starting outside hitter at Penn State from 2001-2004. As a team captain, Buckley led the Nittany Lions to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, two Big Ten Conference championships (2003 and 2004), and the 2003 NCAA Elite Eight. Buckley holds the Penn State record for single-season attempts (1,444) and is also ninth overall in career kills (1,340) and third in career attempts (3,733). The Nittany Lions posted a record of 107-24 during her collegiate career.
Following her collegiate career, Buckley played professionally in the Superliga Femenina with the Club Cajasur of Cordoba, Spain and with the Gigantes of Carolina, Puerto Rico.
Buckley earned her bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Penn State in 2005.
Buckley and her husband, Jeff, live in Sioux Falls with their son, Bausten.
